We go upstairs into our room, and the first thing that hit us was the oppressive heat, like the AC hadn't been on in days. That's really all I wanted to do at that point as we had been on the road for 5 hours. I don't.' Her tone was extremely rude, so figuring that if we just got to our room, took a nap, all would be well. When I made an inquiry as to something about the venue, she snapped at me again to 'ask someone who works there. So being tired and wanting to get some rest before the concert I handed over what she asked for, signed my life away (including the ridiculous $50 'incidental charge' that still hasn't come off my card yet!!) and received the keys to go to our room along with our tickets for the concert.
My husband was in front of me in line and when he said he was checking in with our last name, the woman at the desk snapped at him and said she needed to see (my name)' s id and credit card. Next, check in was not pleasant whatsoever. We ended up going in the wrong door only to have to take all our luggage back out to the car, move said car and go in a different door. The signage is confusing at best and misleading at worst. I had never stayed at Hollywood Slots Hotel before, and now after staying there for one night, I know I will never do so again! First off, the parking situation was confusing. I stayed at this hotel as part of a package deal with a concert I was going to be attending at the nearby Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.
